Do Well Medical is home to a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based healthcare. With diverse clinical expertise and a shared commitment to personalized care, our team works collaboratively to support each patient’s unique needs with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

Raul Soto-Acosta, MD

Adult Psychiatrist/Medical Director

Dr. Soto is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist whose mission is to support each patient’s journey to optimal mental health and well-being. A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, Dr. Soto completed his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has an extensive history of treating adults with mental health issues and is currently the inpatient psychiatrist for UF Health Shands Hospital Jacksonville. Dr. Soto is currently not accepting new patients.

Lavern Webster-Dowell, APRN

FNP, PMHNP-BC, CDE

Lavern is an experienced Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health and Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, as well as a Certified Diabetes Educator. She takes a holistic view of healing that considers the whole person – body, mind, spirit, and emotions. She believes in conventional medication as well as alternative therapies to help your body and mind heal itself. Lavern is fluent in both Spanish and English and is proficient in Portuguese. She accepts patients ages 8 and up and provides both in-office and virtual visits.

Kristin Barrett, APRN

PMHNP-BC

Kristin is a Board-Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who takes a patient-centered approach to care. Her areas of expertise include psychiatric pharmacologic therapy, integrative psychotherapies, and patient/family education. She also has experience with substance use disorders. Kristin accepts patients ages 15 and up, and provides both in-office and virtual visits.

Charles Lorbeer, PhD, LCSW

Charles (Chuck) is a licensed psychologist, clinical social worker, and Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Counselors. He obtained his PhD from Walden University and, as a forensic psychologist, has extensive experience as a national expert with cases in many states across the U.S. Chuck specializes in helping individuals facing stress, anxiety, major life changes, and mental health crises. He offers a supportive, nonjudgemental, space for growth and hearing. He is accepting patients ages 18 and up and provides both in-office and virtual visits.

H. Hoover Hall, PhD

Hoover is a psychometrist with a comprehensive background in psychometric assessments and cognitive testing. He is well-versed in administering and scoring standardized psychological tests, as well as interpreting results, to assist in clinical assessments. As a therapist, he works with individuals dealing with a variety of issues utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. He accepts patients of all ages and provides both in-office and virtual visits.

Sherryl Makeever, LCSW

Sherryl is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years’ experience providing clinical services such as individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and psychosocial counseling. Her specific areas of interest/expertise include ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, life adjustments, assertiveness, self-esteem, stress reduction, and workplace issues. She accepts patients ages 18 to 64 and provides telehealth visits only.

Victoria Payne, CAP

Victoria is a Certified Addictions Professional, and counselor, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals struggling with addiction and other behavioral disorders. She is exceptionally talented at building rapport with different populations and age groups to encourage honesty and growth in recovery. Victoria accepts patients of all ages and provides both in-office and virtual visits.

Luisa McMeans, RN

Luisa is a highly experienced registered nurse. Her company, Webster Infusions, provides Vitamin IV and Infusion Therapy services at our office.
